Oslo is home to Norway's busiest passenger ferry, the Nesodden ferry, as well as island boats and charter vessels offering recreation and fjord experiences.
Berth Rental

Vessels that, upon application, have a permanent berth at one of Port of Oslo’s quays must pay berth rental.

The quay length is calculated based on the vessel's maximum length in meters, as stated in the signed berth contract.

Berth rental is calculated on a full-month basis. Area divisions are shown on the map.

Charter vessels must have AIS installed and use the septic discharge stations in the maritime area.

Vessels per meter per month: NOK 245

Fishing vessels, sales area RHB4 per year: NOK 13,500

Local ferries, per vessel per year: NOK 71,130

Occasional calls by work vessels, per year: NOK 28,500

Exemptions from Berth Rental

Training ships engaged in non-commercial activities

Salvage and icebreaker vessels in connection with salvage and icebreaking

Passenger Charges for Local Traffic

For boat passengers in scheduled transport, a fee of NOK 0.90 per passenger applies.

Sightseeing and charter boats pay NOK 4.25 per passenger.

Passenger numbers must be reported via the designated form.

Water and Electricity

Water and electricity are charged based on consumption.

Waste

Waste from local passenger transport must be deposited in the underground waste containers along Akershusstranda and distributed in accordance with the allocation key. Port of Oslo must approve other waste reception facilities.
