It is not only amongst passengers that the ferries to Germany and Denmark are popular. As much as a third of the ports' cargo arrives with ferries.
From Oslo the trailers reach half of the population of Norway within three hours. There are three ferry companies that carry cargo in addition to passengers between Oslo and the continent.
